DETAILS
The first digital G-SHOCK DW-5000 was launched in 1983 and was born out of a desire to build the most durable digital watch imaginable. And one that was light and efficient. In 1989, the first analogue model by G-SHOCK followed with the AW-500.
In 2019, G-SHOCK set out to create the ultimate in robustness with a new aesthetic case design, combining both analogue and digital functions — the GA-2100 was born. It represented G-SHOCK's continued evolution while retaining the iconic elements of past icons of the DW-5000 and AW-500.
The new GA-B2100 is now fully solar-powered, and this function works via any light source.
Your watch charges from artificial or natural light, a sustainable power source that keeps your G-SHOCK "ticking" day and night. Just eight minutes of sunlight is enough to power the watch for a whole day. No change of battery, just months of energy reserves and great reliability.

Automatic calendar with date, month and weekday Once set, the automatic calendar always displays the correct date. |
Key tones on/off The key tones can be turned off as and when required using the mode button. This therefore means that the watch no longer beeps when switching from one function to another. Set alarms or countdown timers are still active after the key tones are switched off. |
12-/24-hour format The time display can be set to either 12-hour or 24-hour format. In 12-hour mode, a "p" in the display represents the second half of the day, i.e. 12 noon to 11:59 pm. |
Multilingual weekday display Monday, "Montag" or "lundi"? You can decide for yourself in which language the weekdays should be displayed. This model works multilingually. |
Timer — 1/1 sec. — 24 hrs. For fans of precision: The countdown timer helps you to remember special or recurring events by sounding an audible signal at a set time. The time can be set down to the second and up to 24 hours in advance. |
