Features

A true evolution of the original G-SHOCK DNA

The design code of the very first G-SHOCK, DW-5000C, is adopted, including the iconic brick pattern — a symbol of toughness — the “SHOCK RESIST” logo, and the mode and feature indicators. As a direct successor that symbolizes both the origins and innovation of G-SHOCK, the original color scheme of this watch expresses the enduring spirit of toughness.

Full-metal shock-resistant structure: Staying true to origins and constantly innovating

Buffering components made of fine resin are installed between the stainless-steel bezel and case. The shock-resistant structure maintained since the very first G-SHOCK is achieved in a timepiece with a metal exterior. Also, a three-pronged structure is employed for the connective part of the band to disperse shocks to the connecting pipes. The case back features a screw-lock construction that ensures a tight seal.

The orientation of the case back may vary from watch to watch due to details of the manufacturing process.

Made in Japan

The watch is crafted at Yamagata Casio, the “mother factory” where the first-ever G-SHOCK was made. Loyalty to the roots of that very first model makes these watches heirs to the original spirit of toughness that this made-in-Japan brand gave the world.

Meticulously crafted metal exterior

The bezel and case undergo meticulous processes of forging, cutting, and polishing, precisely crafting them into robust, powerful forms. A hairline finish is applied to the bezel top and a mirror finish to the bevelled edges to maximise the textural appeal of the metal. Dimpling is applied to metal band pieces to reproduce the look of the resin band design of the very first G-SHOCK.
