TECHNOLOGY

INNOVATION MEETS FUNCTIONALITY

While professionals who frequently travel for work appreciate features such as wireless technology and GPS, athletes and outdoor enthusiasts place more value on sensor technology that can be used to calculate weather changes, tides or assist with orientation. Using solar technology, solar cells provide the watch with environmentally friendly energy, while excess solar energy is stored in a rechargeable battery.

No matter which technology you prefer — G-SHOCK technologically always keeps pace with the pulse of time and of course remains extremely tough!

TOUGHNESS

Brave the elements with concentrated power
Sensitive sensor technology is the powerhouse of select G-SHOCK models. Depending on the model, highly sensitive, extremely small sensors measure geographical direction, height (up to 10,000 m), depth (down to -80 m) and barometric pressure (260/1,100 hPa)/temperature (-10°C to +60°C), and an alarm even indicates drastic changes in weather patterns. Even under the toughest conditions.

ACCURACY

Automatic hand adjustment
The basic position of the hands of analogue G-SHOCK models is checked every hour for precision and corrected as necessary, both when adjusting (e.g. due to shocks) and following magnetic influence.

USABILITY

Quick access to important functions
The innovative Smart Access system provides quick and intuitive access to all important functions via an electric crown. By rotating and pressing the crown, it is simple and straightforward to set functions such as the alarm or timer. The Smart Access system is protected by a crown switch locking feature, preventing the watch from switching unintentionally to another mode.
