The 5600 line carries forward the DNA of the very first G-SHOCK. The GW-BX5600 is the first in the line with a memory-in-pixel (MIP) LCD that offers outstanding visibility. These advanced functions bring even greater practicality to G-SHOCK toughness. Bio-based resin components help reduce environmental impact, making this a lifestyle watch designed with the features today’s world demands.
High-visibility, versatile MIP LCD
The digital display employs a high-precision, high-contrast MIP LCD with a wide viewing angle. This enables more detailed rendering than conventional LCD displays, delivering outstanding readability even in bright outdoor spaces and direct sunlight. The newly developed MIP can be powered entirely by solar. The high-definition full-dot display, with memory embedded in each pixel, allows the user to switch between four TIME MODE displays with the touch of a button, and, via the app, to change the main display font from STANDARD to CLASSIC for a traditional 7-segment look.

Two distinct expressions in a digital display
While preserving the iconic G-SHOCK design, the lineup offers two LCD styles. The positive display model features colors that pay tribute to the original DW-5600C. The negative display model uses a monochromatic palette for a cool, understated look.
Solar-powered timekeeping with Bluetooth® and radio control for enhanced accuracy and reliability
The watch is solar-powered, converting light to energy, and maintains accurate time through Multiband 6 radio control. It also supports Bluetooth® connectivity for Smartphone Link functionality, allowing various settings to be easily managed on the dedicated app.
Attention to materials: Bio-based resin
Key resin components used in the case, bezel, and band are made with bio-based resin, a material expected to help reduce environmental impact.
