SHOCK RESISTANT AND
HEART RATE MONITOR + GPS FUNCTION

Combines toughness with functions for workouts.
STRUCTURE
Optical sensor measures heart rate at wrist.
Shock-resistant with 20-bar water resistance.

Shock Resistant
Shock-resistant structure protects module. Complex rugged shape prevents direct shock to glass and buttons.
20-bar Water Resistance
Uses a waterproof charging terminal and delivers 20-bar water resistance even with a built-in optical sensor that measures heart rate at the wrist.

DESIGN
Improved operability and fit during training.

Bezel Design
Resin parts cover metal bezel for easy button pushing.

Button Design
The design combines resin and metal with enlarged measurement buttons. The other buttons are dual-colored with non-slip design for easy operation.

Case back cover and band piece
The fine resin back cover with a curved surface and the urethane band piece ensure a smooth fit with the back of the hand.

Soft Urethane Band
Uses soft, easy-fitting materials, provides improved ventilation with plenty of band holes, and allows fine length adjustments.

BAROMETER / THERMOMETER
GPS FUNCTION
5-SENSOR
Get real-time measurements with five-sensor functions.

Optical Sensor (Heart Rate Monitor)
Optical sensors on case back of watch LED light, detect the blood flow under the skin, and measure heart rate.

Accelerometer
3-axis accelerometer detects body movements and measures step count and distance travelled. Also interpolates distance measurements in environments where GPS measurement is unavailable.

Magnetic Sensor, Pressure Sensor and Thermo Sensor
Built-in miniature sensor takes measurements of compass bearing, altitude, barometric pressure, and temperature. Compass bearing and altitude information improve the accuracy of GPS distance measurements.
GPS Functionality
GPS functionality measures distance and tracks movement when running.

GPS Functionality
Acquires data of current location from GPS satellite, measures distance travelled, speed, pace, and other data. In addition to GPS, the watch acquires data from GLONASS and Michibiki (QZSS) satellite systems.

Display of Route Travelled
Link to a smartphone for map display of movement track on an app.

Automatic Time Adjustment
Can receive GPS signals to adjust watch time, date, and time zone.
* When automatically adjusting time while paired with a smartphone, GPS auto-signal reception is off.

MIP LCD (Memory in pixel LCD)
Displays various detailed measurement data in high contrast for easy viewing. Items displayed when training can be customized for ease of use.

Super Illuminator
Equipped with a high-brightness LED that automatically lights up in the dark when the wearer's arm is tilted.

Vibration Notification Function
Vibrates simple alerts for time elapsed during training and heart rate zone, as well as smartphone email receipt and other notifications.

Notification Mode
Displays Bluetooth®-connected smartphone call, email, and SNS message receipt notifications for ease of checking even while exercising.
* Not displayed in training mode.
Solar-assisted Charging
Chooses between two charging methods: USB charging for GPS, heart rate monitor and other training functions and solar charging for daily watch use.

Solar Charging
Time mode (includes step count measurement and notification functions) can be powered with solar charging alone*.
* When charged about eight hours every day under indoor fluorescent lighting (500 lux), and charged at window side on a sunny day for two hours in a week (10,000 lux).

USB Charging
Charges even more quickly. After about 2.5 hours of charging, training features can be used continuously for up to 14 hours.
Supports efficient workouts with a variety of data.
HEART RATE MONITOR
Measures exercise intensity in real time.
Useful for pace management indicators.

Heart Rate Monitor / Heart Rate Zone Display
Displays the current heart rate, as well as a heart rate zone that shows exercise intensity at five stages, and is useful for pace management during activities and endurance training.
VO2max
Quantifies cardiorespiratory ability.
Useful for endurance training.

VO2max Measurement
Uses heart rate and running speed to calculate the maximum consumable oxygen uptake per kilogram of bodyweight in one minute (ml/kg/min). This can be used as a benchmark for cardiorespiratory ability when the user is trying to build endurance for running or other sports.
TRAINING STATUS
Display your training results and fitness levels.
Get support for managing effective training.

* The heart rate monitor displays the estimated heart rate based on the pulse measured by the sensor on the back of the watch (back cover). The heart rate data displayed by the watch is for reference only, and accuracy is not guaranteed.
* The heart rate measurement function of this watch is for recreational use only and cannot be used for any medical purpose.
* When without GPS signal reception or without a smartphone link, the watch operates with normal quartz accuracy (average monthly difference: ±15 seconds).
* The altimeter is a relative altimeter that converts changes in pressure to altitude. When atmospheric pressure changes due to weather conditions, the measured altitude value also changes.
* For outdoor temperature measurements, remove watch from wrist and make sure that it is not affected by body temperature, sweat (water droplets) or direct sunlight.
* The GBD-H1000 is approved under the Japan Radio Act.
* The smartphone connectivity depends on the specifications of the mobile phone itself as well as the services provided by the telecommunications carrier in the country of use, and results will therefore vary.
