Yuto Horigome
Born on January 7, 1999, in Tokyo, Yuto Horigome is a leading figure in modern skateboarding. He began skating at age six and moved to Los Angeles after high school to pursue his career on the global stage.
There, he became the first Japanese skater to win the Street League Skateboarding (SLS) Championship, earning multiple titles and top finishes at major events including X Games. In 2021, he made history by winning the first Olympic gold in men’s street skateboarding at the Tokyo Games, followed by a dramatic comeback victory at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Now a global icon and one of Japan’s top young athletes, Yuto continues to dominate competitions while staying true to his street roots, redefining the future of skateboarding.
