In June 2004, MAiKA and KYOKA formed the street dance team RUSH BALL. From the outset, the duo participated in dance contests, earning many accolades and establishing themselves as iconic “super kids” as dancers. They also gained recognition on the global stage, excelling in the HIPHOP category. RUSH BALL triumphed in two major tournaments, WDC and JUSTE DEBOUT, securing their place as Japan’s representatives. In March 2012, at the JUSTE DEBOUT FINAL in France, they earned an impressive second place against some of the world’s top dancers. Four years later, in March 2016, they made history as the first Japanese team to win this prestigious championship.
