What comes to mind
when you hear that word?
Strength. Power. Resilience.
Absolute. Unbreakable. Serious.

Nice try but that's not
what toughness is today.
It’s time to think about
tough in a new way,

Toughness is not one dimensional.
Toughness is not always serious.
Toughness is playful, stupid, and silly.
Toughness has a sense of humor.

Who said toughness isn’t cool?

Tough should give you goosebumps.
It should make you go damn,
that’s toughhhhh.

Embracing failure. That’s tough.
Being kind to others. That’s tough.
Being kind to yourself. That’s also tough.

Writing your own rules. That’s tough.
Brave to be you. Yeah, that’s definitely tough.

So from now on.
Whenever you see something you think is tough.
Just scream ‘that’s tough!’ 
Toughness is what you define.
