With the design concept “Depth in Shadow,”
we focused on what it means to truly read time and what we gain from engaging with time in analog.
This, along with a commitment to minimalist beauty,
led us to capture the passage of time in delicately textured hands
and a dial that catch the light to create ever-changing shadows.

we have not merely returned to the origin of G-SHOCK in an analog version.

The G-SHOCK 2500 series carry on the toughness and functional beauty of the first-ever G-SHOCK, even as they redefine the DW-5000C with today’s technology and values. Setting aside the ornamental, we focused on carefully refining the essential to create a minimalist design that is both timelessly beautiful and reliably practical.

What it means to read time

Analog allows you to intuitively sense, just from the position of the hands, how much time has passed and how much remains, a real advantage in reading time. The watch hands and indexes of the 2500 series, even the depth of the dial itself, are carefully crafted to be even more intuitive, embodying the essence of what it means to read time.

Minimalist functional beauty

At the heart of toughness is functionality like shock resistance and 20-bar water resistance. By focusing on these features, we achieve an even purer expression of the G-SHOCK heritage of functional beauty. This is refined design and compact proportions that naturally suit a variety of settings and styles.

true heir to the original DW-5000

A clean, contemporary analog dial that makes reading time easy and intuitive, paired with the octagonal case — the unmistakable signature of the first-ever G-SHOCK. The analog movement developed specifically for this line of timepieces is, fittingly, crafted at Yamagata Casio, the G-SHOCK “mother factory.”
We add a new feature, Multi-Mission Date, to deliver digital functionality in an analog display, and retain the shock resistance, 20-bar water resistance, and exceptional practical utility of the original.
The refined beauty of a fully analog design with all of the distinctive presence and exciting potential that G-SHOCK represents — the 2500 series is destined to become the next new iconic G-SHOCK.

True toughness performs every second

The tail of the small seconds hand is adorned with the Shock Resist mark, telling the story of G-SHOCK origins. Vibrating with each passing second, the mark shows that the watch’s shock resistant construction is hard at work.
More than mere decoration, with the Shock Resist mark, you know that each 2500 watch is built to be a consistently reliable timekeeping companion.

Multi-Mission Date:
Multiple roles to fulfill multiple functions

The 2500 series are equipped with Multi-Mission Date, a fan-shaped three-cell window at the 3 o’clock position that displays more than just the date. Depending on the function in use, the same window can show elapsed time for the stopwatch, setting information, and more.
Set the day, month, and year on Multi-Mission Date to create a fully automatic calendar for a fully analog watch. The date is automatically adjusted according to the calendar, eliminating the hassle of manually correcting dates at the end of the month or during leap years.

Materials and form craft a dial with depth and dimension

The play of light and shadow created by the dimensional form of the dial and the sharp definition of the bar indexes achieves a look of stunning depth and even more reliable readability.
The GAC-2500 features a resin dial that enhances its light and airy expression.
The GMC-2500 with metal-clad bezel features a brass dial treated with a sunray or honed finish, depending on the dial color, for stylish subtlety that highlights the natural textures of the metal.
