Based in Tokyo and born in Shizuoka Prefecture, itabamoe graduated from Bunka Fashion College. After working as an apparel designer, itabamoe transitioned to illustration in advertising before beginning her artistic career in 2021. Drawing on her experience depicting women in 2010s advertising, itabamoe redefines illustration as theme of contemporary art, capturing the evolving beauty and individuality of modern women in real time. Using a technique inspired by enlarged magazine photocopies, itabamoe tells stories through visual language. Her work expresses shifting emotions and identities through her vision of ii-onna (attractive women).
