About the BYD Singapore International Marathon presented by adidas
First staged as a competitive race in 1982, the BYD Singapore International Marathon presented by adidas is the country's only national marathon and Southeast Asia's only World Athletics Gold Label road race. The event is a key fixture on Singapore's sporting calendar and has welcomed elite and recreational runners from Singapore and around the world over the decades, while helping to grow the local running community. In 2025, the event attracted more than 55,000 runners, including 14,000 international participants from 80 countries, underscoring its standing as one of the region's leading running events.
