Tomoyasu Hotei is one of the top guitarists in Japan. He was the guitarist of the legendary rock band BOØWY, which had a major influence on the Japanese rock scene, and then made his solo debut with the album "GUITARHYTHM" in 1988. Hotei is highly regarded for his talent as a producer, lyricist and composer. He gained international acclaim as the composer of "Battle Without Honor Or Humanity," the theme song of Quentin Tarantino's "Kill Bill." In 2012, Hotei moved to England and performed four successful shows in London. In 2014, Hotei co-starred with The Rolling Stones at a concert held in Tokyo Dome, and in October 2015 he released the CD "Strangers" in the UK and Europe. 2021 marks Hotei's 40th anniversary as a performer, and various live performances, new releases, and a documentary are planned to mark the occasion.
