Since its original release in 1983, G-SHOCK has continued to evolve and push the limits of timekeeping toughness. This new addition to the G-SHOCK family of timepieces was created with the planet Earth as the design motif. Everything about the dial is designed in the image of our planet, including a blue ion-plated (IP) metal bezel, printing around the circumference of the glass to resemble the Northern Lights, and inset dial hands in the shape of an artificial satellite. The black IP of the back cover is laser scraped to create an image of the Earth at night. The base model is the metal-covered, big-case GM-110.
