Defined by the ongoing commitment to delivering ultimate toughness with bold creativity, G-SHOCK has embraced a definitive challenge with the Blue Rose Project. Inspired by a “Gem Accents” theme, the GMW-B5000SB incorporates the brilliance of blue sapphire gemstones to offer even more refined strength and beauty.
The watch is based on the GMW-B5000, which brings the resin design of the very first G-SHOCK to life in a full-metal exterior. Four blue sapphire gemstones are set in the bezel dimples, and a blue line traces the watch’s iconic face. Standing out against the all-black design, the blue accents add a fitting luminance to the G-SHOCK spirit of toughness.

Blue sapphire brilliance reflecting strength
As a symbol of the Blue Rose Project, four lab-grown blue sapphires are set in the bezel dimples, adding dazzling radiance to the watch. Second in hardness only to diamonds, these round brilliant-cut gemstones shine with beautiful sparkling gleams from every angle. Exuding a serene sense of intelligence, the blue-toned brilliance expresses the spirit of G-SHOCK with its ongoing passion for achieving strength and beauty.
Full-metal shock-resistant structure with no compromise on beauty
The original full-metal shock-resistant structure of the GMW-B5000, which protects the module with a stainless-steel bezel and case while employing fine-resin buffering components to help absorb impacts, has been updated to accommodate the blue sapphire settings. The holes bored through the bezel dimples are fitted with stainless-steel mounting bases and rubber buffering components that support each gemstone securely from below.
The watch features the same screw-lock case back as the very first G-SHOCK and a three-pronged lug that provides a strong, stable band connection.

All-black design handsome with blue accents
A black IP bezel, inverted LCD, and black soft urethane band create a bold, powerful all-black design that accentuates the striking presence of the blue sapphire gemstones and the blue line tracing the watch’s face.
The stainless-steel bezel features a complex form that demands a high degree of manufacturing precision, requiring forging, cutting, and polishing processes to be repeated dozens of times. Mirror and hairline finishes are carefully applied to individual surfaces, emphasizing the textural sophistication of the hard metal. The result is the sharp, sculptural beauty of this one-of-a-kind full-metal design.
Solar-powered timekeeping with radio control and Bluetooth® connectivity
Smartphone Link and radio-wave time calibration deliver automatic time adjustment. Solar-power charging ensures stable operation of watch functions.
