Unbreakable Legacy

Before it had a name, G-SHOCK began as a mission.

When young Casio engineer Kikuo Ibe broke the mechanical watch passed down from his father, he set out to build something different—a watch that could take a hit and keep going.

That mission became Project Team Tough in 1981: over 200 prototypes, two years of pushing boundaries, and one breakthrough—a shock-resistant structure that redefined what a watch could be.

What began as a mission became a movement decades strong and still evolving.
