1. Can you please introduce yourself briefly?
My name is Carters Vision , and I'm from East Baltimore.
2. Can you briefly tell us about what you are working on and its purpose?
AI'm a director/videographer/ photographer/ creative, marketing director. I'm currently working on my first movie based around mental health. I'm super excited to branch off into a new stage in my career on the short film side of things, I'm super grateful for guys like Meek Mill and others who gave me a opportunity to jump start my career.
3. What challenges have you faced, and how have you overcome them?
Some challenges I've faced at times were setting limitations upon myself, realizing that in all reality I can reach the stars with the correct timing and with god nothing is off limits. Me getting in the game at 19 years old is what I can say help me grow fast but at times made me think can I really be a big thing one day, not even realizing I can accomplish anything plus more.
4. What inspired you to start this journey, and what drives your passion for it?
What inspired me to start this journey circles back to me as a kid my uncle Kelly kept old vhs movies at my grandmothers house, like house party series, love jones, brown sugar, I'm going to get you sucka. So visually i saw so much and understood the art concept of each film it sort of created something in me that made me view the world differently. What drives my passion for film and creative direction is telling stories the world will always remember and sparking something in the brain that someone one day will appreciate, just like Gordon parks and spike lee and kid art and spike Jordan and Benny boom and Nice shot Kyle who gave me my first camera inspired me.
5. Is there anything you prioritize or value deeply to stay true to yourself?
Some things I value deeply and prioritize to keep me true to myself is family, I take family very seriously and they are my safe space I haven't always been the most open guy. So my family being in my corner and keeping me close with god and my true humble beginnings will always keep me down to earth and I understand the same people you see going up are the same people you see coming down, so always stay humble and remain true and god will always bless you. I'm never too cool for a conversation with anyone or any questions because I was once that person who just wanted a ear.
6. In your life, what moments do you consider the most meaningful or precious?
In my life iI consider the most beautiful and precious moments to be overcoming adversity and living in gods answered prayers. And watching my family watch my success especially coming from a hostile Baltimore environment they could see my dreams pan out properly.
7. What are your aspirations or plans for the future?
My aspirations for my future is to become the worlds biggest film director and creative genius in the marketing industry and film industry. I don't wanna be cliche and just say I want all the money in the world because that isn't realistic for me I wanna change lives and live comfortably and experience things my younger self and family would be proud of and inspire a new generation to do the same thing. That to me would be me feeling accomplished in those regards. I want to continue to reach levels I never reached before.
8. Was there a pivotal moment early in your career that changed everything for you or helped launch you into the industry?
When I was 19 turning 20 I was in the club taking picture and video for Ron uncut and I ran into one of my favorite rappers all time, sort of like a manifestation thing I would always watch meek mill interviews and listen to him so when I go to shoot him in the club it was a serial moment, at the time I wasn't old enough to get in The club so I snuck in and took pictures of him and from there I never left meek I became his full time camera man and overtime he introduced me to people like Jay Z and Robert Kraft and mike Rubin and really help me build my foundation in the industry, so I will always appreciate him for that and helping me grow into that person.
GSHOCK is a watch when I was kid that i always wanted i loved the various color schemes and diKerent styles, so me getting to collaborate with GSHOCK is just another form of true manifestation in my life.
