What is the difference between G-STEEL, Full Metal, and MT-G?
G-STEEL, Full Metal, and MT-G are three distinct G-SHOCK watch lines that use different approaches to metal construction, materials, and advanced technology.
G-SHOCK G-STEEL watches are designed for those who want the bold presence of metal with the shock resistance and comfort of resin. The line emphasizes layered construction, beginning with a glass-fiber reinforced resin case and adding stainless-steel elements such as a metal bezel, metal band, or both. This combination delivers the distinctive look of metal while maintaining the durability and wearability associated with G-SHOCK resin construction.
The G-SHOCK Full Metal watch line features an all-metal exterior for a premium, polished appearance. Full Metal models utilize a stainless-steel case, stainless-steel bezel, and solid stainless-steel band, creating a fully metallic design that elevates the classic G- SHOCK form.
G-SHOCK MT-G represents the premium tier of G-SHOCK metal craftsmanship. The MT-G line (“metal twisted G-SHOCK”) combines metal with fine resin or carbon-reinforced resin, paired with a stainless-steel bezel. Many MT-G models also incorporate advanced technologies such as Bluetooth® connectivity, Tough Solar power, and Triple G Resist.
