1. Can you briefly tell us about what you are working on and its purpose?
As a painter, I weave a unique world through the art of iconography, drawing inspiration from found images. My process begins with an exploration of visuals—snippets of culture, history, and personal experiences—carefully selected to build a rich narrative. Each image serves as a symbol, representing deeper meanings and emotions within the context of the larger world I am creating. These found images are transformed on the canvas into a dynamic, layered tapestry, where every symbol interacts with the others to tell a larger story. The result is a world that feels familiar yet mysterious, where iconography becomes a language that speaks directly to the viewer’s subconscious, inviting them to decode the narrative and explore its intricate details. Through this process, I bring together the past and present, personal and universal, creating a visual dialogue that reflects the complexity of human experience.

2. What inspired you to start this journey, and what drives your passion for it?
As a painter, I use art as a therapeutic tool to explore the deep questions surrounding the universe, existence, and religion. Through painting, I can channel my curiosity and uncertainties about life into visual expressions that help me make sense of the intangible. The act of creating allows me to process complex ideas and emotions, transforming them into symbols and imagery that reflect my inner dialogue with these existential themes. What drives my passion is the belief that art has the power to unlock answers, or at least bring me closer to them. It offers a space where I can question, reflect, and connect with something greater, turning my personal search for meaning into something that resonates universally.

3. What challenges have you faced, and how have you overcome them?
Being a self-taught artist has been a challenging yet rewarding journey. Without the structure of formal schooling or access to dedicated facilities, I had to rely on my own resourcefulness and determination to learn. The lack of guidance meant I had to experiment, make mistakes, and constantly push myself to improve. Not having access to expensive materials added another layer of difficulty, forcing me to find creative solutions with limited resources. Yet, these constraints have often sparked my most innovative ideas, pushing me to adapt and think outside the box. The challenge of navigating this path without the traditional support system has shaped me into a more resilient and independent artist, constantly learning and evolving in unexpected ways.

4. Is there anything you prioritize or value deeply to stay true to yourself?
Staying true to myself as an artist means creating work that reflects my genuine curiosities, obsessions, and perplexities, rather than conforming to trends or popular themes. While many artists may feel pressured to explore their identity or jump on the latest art movements to stay relevant, I focus on what truly intrigues me, allowing my passion and personal exploration to guide my creative process. This authenticity drives me to constantly evolve and push my work in new directions. I strive to elevate my art with each piece, avoiding the trap of falling into one repetitive style that looks exactly like the last. For me, growth and experimentation are key, and I believe that by staying true to my own questions and curiosities, my work will always feel fresh and honest.

5. In your life, what moments do you consider the most meaningful or precious?
The most precious moments are when I see someone interacting with my designs and making them their own. For example, when someone wears a piece I’ve created and it becomes a part of their story, or when they tell me how my work made them feel understood or inspired. Those moments remind me of the impact design can have on a personal level.

6. What are your aspirations or plans for the future?
My future aspirations are centered around expanding my creative horizons by pursuing more fashion collaborations and working with art galleries that can help nurture and refine my artistic abilities. I’m eager to collaborate with fashion designers to blend art and fashion in innovative ways, pushing the boundaries of both worlds. I also aspire to work with galleries that foster creativity and provide opportunities for growth, allowing me to showcase my work in new environments and reach a wider audience. Ultimately, my goal is to continuously evolve as an artist, exploring new mediums and techniques, and surrounding myself with the right people and platforms that will empower me to become the best version of myself creatively.
