Bettylou Sakura Johnson

Bettylou Sakura Johnson is a young surfing prodigy from the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii. Raised in a family deeply connected to the ocean, she was introduced to surfing at an early age, and her natural talent quickly drew attention.

She made her CT (Championship Tour) debut at the 2020 Maui Pro, finishing 9th, and steadily built her career on the world stage. By 2023, she had climbed to 11th overall in the WCT rankings, establishing herself as a consistent presence among the world’s elite surfers.

In May 2025, she claimed her long-awaited first CT victory at the Bonsoy Gold Coast Pro. Later that year, she further solidified her breakthrough by winning the Lexus Trestles Pro, rising into contention among the top-ranked surfers in the world. True to her words in a G-LIDE interview earlier that year, where she stated her goal of becoming a world champion, she continues to embody that ambition through her performances.

With a powerful yet stylish approach, she represents the new generation of women’s surfing and continues to attract global attention as one of the sport’s most promising stars.
