Born in a realm outside convention. Breaking through boundaries, contours emerge. Beyond duality, the crystallization of beauty and strength into one. Cloaked in calm confidence, the ultimate toughness. Now taking form in a flash of soft beauty. Take a long deep look. There it is. A new world you've never imagined.

Blue Sapphire Crystal: Infinite Resilience and Beauty

The blue sapphire crystal begins as ingots produced over the course of several months. From these, only the sections with ideal color concentration and transparency are meticulously selected. This exacting process provides the material for a watch completed in exquisite blue hues.

The beautiful blue watch face is detailed with 24k gold lettering. The MR-G mark at the top, as well as the phrase SHOCK RESIST and other lettering, are all done in pure 24k gold, for a face design both bold and intricate.

Engineering without compromise

Every structure is refined to protect the module, preserve precision and carry the craftsmanship through every surface of the watch.

  • Angled view of the blue MR-G watch showing the case, face and band.

    Blue Sapphire Crystal

Although sapphire crystal is extremely difficult to process into small components, the R&D team shaped the components to resist chipping and eliminated screw holes and other details that can cause cracking. The result almost defies description: a G-SHOCK tough timepiece made of a beautifully delicate material.

  • Close view of the digital face and blue brick-pattern surround.

24k Gold Lettering and Bold Iconic Brick Pattern

The MR-G mark at the top, as well as the phrase SHOCK RESIST and other lettering, are all done in pure 24k gold. The stainless-steel brick pattern adorning the face pays homage to the iconic motif inherited from the original G-SHOCK and is finished with a lustrous blue vapor-deposition protective finish.

  • Macro view of the blue bezel, controls and upper case detailing.

    Multi-Guard Structure

A bezel and case formed from multiple separate components, instead of from a conventional single piece, the Multi-Guard Structure offers both the shock resistance and the beauty that MR-G stands for. The design also draws inspiration from traditional Japanese timber-frame construction called kigumi, which is known for the use of interlocking joints instead of screws or nails. Only design innovations like these could make it possible to achieve the signature toughness of MR-G in sapphire crystal.

  • Side profile of the blue MR-G case and textured band.

Special Dura Soft Rubber Strap, New Clasp Design

The comfortable, extremely durable Dura Soft rubber strap features the same brick pattern with textured detailing. Developed specifically for this limited-edition timepiece, the raised pattern, each brick set at its own unique angle, creates a beautiful interplay between light and shadow, changing as the light moves to perfectly complement the sapphire crystal. The titanium clasp, also developed specifically for the MR-G line, delivers unparalleled comfort and features a release button engineered for a refined tactile response.

  • Blue and black MR-G caseback with Shock Resist markings.

Screw case back engraved with proof of limited edition

Crafted from the grade-5 titanium alloy stronger and more scratch resistant than pure titanium, the screw case back is embedded with the same blue sapphire crystal. Each case back bears a unique number (from 1/20 to 20/20), marking its rarity and ensuring its place among the 20 pieces available worldwide.
